Well since our visit to Devon Dogs, Dora’s calm moments are increasing and excitement/frustration or whatever is making her choose to bark at random things is decreasing.

I have written a training plan as I do for my dog training clients, and have reviewed our progress as the days have gone by. I am noting that Dora is able to be calm much quicker when we enter a new or exciting environment and even if her arousal levels rise, I am able to help her return to a calmer state quickly.

Just shows that even ‘dog trainers’ have struggles with their own dogs and that’s OK because it means we can practice our skills in real life scenarios. Dora’s character is like no other Munsterlander we have had and it has taken me by surprise. We are making good progress and that’s all that matters.
